VICE – In 2019 Flat Earth FC, a Madrid based team, became the first football club in the world to represent an idea rather than a geographic location. Instigated by the club’s president Javi Poves, he renamed his relatively unknown, third division football club Flat Earth FC, changing the logo, kit and football chant to reflect his belief that Earth is flat. His aim? To widen his fanbase and galvanize the support of die hard conspiracy fans whilst spreading the word of the Flat Earth theory. Flatspot Magazine – This time we went to the Concrete Jungle Foundation’s ‘Funraiser Event’. At Filmcafe in Utrecht the CJF organised a few lottery’s, auctions a miniramp contest and more to raise money for Jamaica’s first skatepark of Kingston.
