Hot on the heels of his new record ‘Time Served,’ #MoneybaggYo recently came up from Memphis and swung by The FADER office. Joined by #FivioForeign, the two pals tried their hands at a round of Would You Rather, tackling such pressing matters as: would they rather drive a hooptie or for Uber? Would they rather be limited to a $100 music video budget, or cede directorial control? And who would they rather banter with in a group chat, JAY-Z or Dave Chappelle?

Teejayx6 breaks down his Top Five Black Air Force 1 Activities | The F…

The FADER – Over the past couple of years, #Teejayx6 has become one of Detroit’s fastest-rising rappers, inhabiting the lithe, charismatic persona of a silver-tongued scammer with a deep reference base and nothing to lose. It’s that charisma that makes his latest mixtape, Black Air Force Activity 1, so much fun to listen to: Teejayx6 could steal your identity and it’d probably be pretty hard to stay mad at him. For his FADER Top Five video, Teejayx6 stays on brand, listing his top 5 black Black Air Force 1 activities, a list of cons including “The Weed Switch” and “Identity Fraud.” By the end of it, you might be a scammer yourself. DIIV – Starting Now (Documentary) | The FADER

The FADER – DIIV open up about sobriety, their near-break up, and the new phase of their band in Starting Now, The FADER’s new documentary. “I was worried,” DIIV guitarist Andrew Bailey says. “Like, ‘I wonder if Cole’s going to be able to stay clean.; But then as soon as he got clean, I was like, “Oh wait of course he is” because that’s just how he does everything.” In Starting Now, The FADER’s intimate and revealing new documentary on one of the past decade’s most fascinating and complicated bands, we explore the tumultuous period in the aftermath of the 2016 release of DIIV’s sophomore record Is The Is Are, and focussing specifically on the band’s sessions recording last year’s Deceiver with producer Sonny Diperri, Starting Now lets DIIV and frontman Zachary Cole Smith speak their own truth for one of the first times in their career. The release of Starting Now also coincides with a gargantuan milestone for the band: this Thursday’s headline show at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, their largest show in the city to date. A 2,300-capacity room, it feels like an appropriately grand venue for the dark melodies of Deceiver. Watch Starting Now above and find tickets to this Thursday’s show here.
