Zeropolis skateshop "Local" / PREMIERE | LIVE skateboard med…

liveskateboardmedia.com – Benjamin Deberdt – ///////// Zeropolis skateshop has been persisting in Lille, Northern France, for over twenty years now. Lille is one of those places where the local, both meteorological and architectural conditions essentially require a certain degree of passion in anyone there trying to take up skateboarding, in such a landscape of wet bricks (formerly the regional norm before the edification of skateparks such as Halle de Glisse: one of Europe’s first modern “street parks”, the avant-garde construction of which was tackled as early as 2005, just as every European skater and their neighbor were getting sick of prefab ramps). The motivation we’re talking seems unwilling to discriminate against specific generations, judging from the impression resulting from this new (Zeropolis) video production: “Local” is a twenty-one-minute audiovisual collage in mostly high definition, carefully crafted by Thomas Larive. Film Trucks "Colorway" / PREMIERE | LIVE skateboard media

liveskateboardmedia.com – Benjamin Deberdt – ///////// Just a couple of months after the release of “Nouvelle Vague”, fifteen minutes of video collected and assembled by Guillaume Colucci for ex-Cliché Skateboards founder Jérémie Daclin’s brand: Film Trucks, today, said firm is dropping “Colorway”: a montage by Thomas Guérin. The most hardcore (or Grenoble-based) of our readership might remember his name, as LIVE has put it out before via his audiovisual contributions to the reports of last summer’s Thursday Sessions. As its title rightfully suggests, “Colorway” is also announcing the release of three new colorways of Film trucks on the market, each of them attributed to a French up-and-comer: namely, it’s Arno Wagner, Fred Plocque-Santos and Victor Campillo who happen to be on the receiving end of that skate Power Rangers treatment. And right now, as telephone switchboards all over the world are imploding from the mass reaction to these news and the most in-the-know skateshops are already reporting being low on stock, LIVE is keeping you distracted from the chaos via this interview with the aforementioned Thomas Guérin: the man behind this new edit, who turned out to be more than ready to recount his recent rise to absolute success – with a symphony of metal grinding and bushings squeaking punctuating his words to the beat of his hands rubbing together in satisfaction.
