Skate After School is a nonprofit founded in 2011 that now serves over 250 children a week across eight low-income elementary schools, providing students with a safe space to learn how to skateboard with qualified volunteers and mentors. the kids are really the magic of the program. I had the opportunity to meet and have some discussions with the kids about their outlook on skateboarding, the program, and life in general. It was amazing to see each one of their unique personalities and what they had to say. Here is a little glimpse into their world. (^:
